On Strike Against SOPA Jan 18th

Hi everyone!

In case you haven’t heard many internet sites are going dark Wednesday, January 18, 2012, in protest of the SOPA and PIPA Bills.  These are basically internet censorship bills. From what I’ve read, I think they may (MAY) have started out with good intentions. But the way they’re worded leads to huge problems for our basic rights. Big major sites like Reddit and Wikepedia are reportedly going dark tomorrow as well. Actually, I just checked and Wikepedia is already dark — different time zone. You can go to their website and find more info as well as links to your representatives. There’s a lot of info out there if you search SOPA Bill.

Now, I’m not technologically savvy enough to actually make my website dark without crashing it by tinkering, so I’m posting this message instead. I won’t be on the internet tomorrow. No facebook. No twitter. I’ll miss you guys, but I’ll be back on Thursday.

If you’re concerned about the erosion of our basic constitutional rights that have been wearing ever thinner in the last few years, please stand up and do something about the situation. It won’t change without the PEOPLE banding together to make a difference!
