AUTHORS GIVE BACK: ANGELS CRIED

I know you all were as shocked and saddened by the shootings in Newtown, CT on December 14, 2012 as I was. I wanted to do something but besides donating money, I wasn’t sure how else I could help.

However, I was invited to a facebook group created by Stephen L. Wilson. Within hours he had put together a call out to authors to donate stories and poems for an anthology to benefit those affected by the tragedy. Then within just a few days, the anthology went live.

The cover was created by award winning cover artist Gretchen Steen. And 40 authors and artists donated their time and works to make a difference with this collection – ANGELS CRIED.  Funds from the book go to Sandy Hook School Support Fund, managed by the United Way.

I didn’t have an appropriate story ready to submit but I volunteered to share the fundraiser with all of you. It’s sort of an unofficial Authors Give Back post. I hope you’ll take a look at the book and consider buying it to help those impacted by this tragedy.

You can purchase the ebook at:

Smashwords     Barnes & Noble     Amazon

Or the paperback at:

CreateSpace     Amazon

You can also find it on Goodreads and the official Indies In Action website

Please consider sharing this post and/or book links with your family and friends. Let’s try to make a difference together.

In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a quote from Stephen L. Wilson:

Angels Cried is a collaboration of love from people all across the world. It was created as an attempt to help those who need it most. Thanks for sharing hope.

As always – thanks for reading!

Bought it! I would have contributed a story, but the timing was off. This is a wonderful and awesome thing, Stephen, and I’m happy to promote the works. I wish you every success. :)

Heading off to buy in support, but before I go, just wanted to thank you for spreading the news of this anthology, Rhonda, or I may have missed it. And thanks to all of the authors who contributed their stories and poems to such a worthwhile cause.
