I write both fiction and non-fiction. In the fiction world, I try to use the knowledge and expertise obtained in nearly 20 years of conducting investigations for the State of Texas and for the Family Courts to bring realism to my novels. You’ll have to let me know if I succeed. But, I also want to share what I’ve learned through the years with those who may need the help while in the midst of custody litigation. I hope I can benefit others in this small way.
And of course, I also like to talk about my other passion — writing. I have won and/or placed in several writing contests for a couple of suspense manuscripts and for a short horror story. Very thrilling to have that kind of validation by my peers.
What genres do I write? Thank you for asking! <grin> I write suspense/thrillers, romantic suspense and horror. I may throw a little paranormal in some day.
Other than my writing, I’m not very creative, but I think I may give pottery a try. It’s always fascinated me.
I have a beautiful, cuddly blue/gray cat — Samantha. She doesn’t realize she’s a cat. And she’s trained her human quite well over the years. I’d tell you she talks, but you might think I’m off my rocker, but…I swear she says some words quite clearly. Especially “Now!’ when she doesn’t think I’m fast enough getting her food to her. LOL
I come from a very close-knit family and I don’t have a clue what I would do without their love and support. I never want to have to find out, either.
In the words of John Mellencamp: “…I was born in a small town…And I can breath in a small town…” That’s me in a nutshell. I love small town life. I love knowing the people around me. I love the fact that people look out for each other and support each other. But, I also love being close enough to a major city that I can experience both worlds in the span of minutes.
I hope you enjoy my blog and that you’ll come back often. Don’t forget to comment. I always love hearing from my readers!
