Scares That Care, Charity

Scares That Care is a truly remarkable charity, a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to help people that really need it. While the group may be best known for their annual convention, Scares That Care Weekend, the good they do goes far beyond one event, or even one season.

Every year, they select three very worthy recipients: a woman fighting breast cancer, a sick child, and someone suffering from severe burns and give them as much as they can, from the money the charity collects from their convention, fund raisers like their $5 raffle events, crab fests, and every day donations. They fight real monsters like childhood illness, cancer, and horrific tragedies by helping victims cope with the financial struggle that can come along with major issues like the ones their charity recipients face.

In addition to those wonderful gifts, they also do toy and warm clothing drives for the winter, spreading warmth and generosity to even more people.

There are many ways to donate, if you’d like to help out and be a part of making someone’s life a brighter place. It’s as simple as sending a text!

You can donate by texting SCARES to 91999, as well as directly through PayPal or their website, you can even support them using Amazon Smile, which allows you to donate a portion of the sales from items you purchase on Amazon to the charity of your choice.

You can also donate on their Facebook Page or through their Upcoming Facebook Event — Scares That Care $5 Donation Day on September 22, 2017. Join now, so that you don’t forget.
