Fifteen-year-old Charley Cooper’s day gets off to a witchy start when she finds a neighbor has been magicked up a tree by her great-grandmother.

And things go downhill from there. While she’s helping her mother out at the monthly town festival, she finds out a family friend has been attacked and a bracelet stolen from her.

Just when she thinks things can’t get any worse, she discovers the bracelet has a curse that is unleashed whenever it’s stolen. It’s caused harm to not only previous thieves but others in their vicinity.

On top of that, Charley’s having identity issues because she’s afraid the witchy gene has skipped her. But she’s determined to prove she’s worthy of her lineage even without powers. Her first order of business? To find the culprit and return the bracelet before it can cause harm to other innocent victims.
