“FANTASTIC story. Truly one of the best shorts that I have read this year!” ~~ Amazon Review by TW Brown, Author of the DEAD and ZOMBLOG series. Follow-up review can be found at Brown’s blog, My Top Reads of 2014: “Short story or not, this tale will stick with you. This story opens with a punch in the throat and has you gasping until the last words on the page fade as you turn off your Kindle. It can be a challenge to really offer up characters with depth that you care about in a short story, yet Rhonda Hopkins does just that. And you will experience a roller coaster of emotions throughout. It matters very little if you are a fan of the zombie genre, this is a story that will pull you in and refuse to let go. So do yourself a favor…read this gem and then tell a friend…This was my favorite read of the year.”

“…What set this apart for me were the other elements. First, Sarah rescuing her twin, which is the main story conflict with the zombies just one more thing getting in the way of resolving that problem. Second, Sarah’s relationship with her coworker Merideth and how that changes as they come to understand each other better. Not your typical zombie story at all.”

“I very much enjoyed how this story was written…There is quite a bit of action for such a short story. This definitely felt like it was a big story inside a little book…I recommend Survival to anyone who likes an action packed zombie book, with main characters who seem to have relatable personalities.”

I did a fun character interview for Sarah, the main character in Survival. I actually learned some things about Sarah I didn't know before. You can read her interview here.
