    A Writer’s Plan: NaNoWriMo Nov. 2019

    Every November thousands of writers decide to forgo their normal lives in order to write a novel in a month. Crazy, right? Probably. But, also inspirational and challenging. National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo as it’s referred to is a great way to get words written. One can let go of the infernal internal editor and just write. The manuscript can always be cleaned up afterward. But, hitting that goal of at least 50,000 words written in one month is exhilarating. I’m participating again this year with a goal of 50K words.     New Website, New Logo, and a New Direction

    Hello all! It’s been a long while since I posted anything. But, I have some exciting news to share. I have a new website, new logo, and a new direction for my writing. After a year of stops and starts, I have finally managed to create a brand new website from the ground up. My old one really needed help.     My Dad, My Hero

    This post was originally published for Father’s Day in 2011. My dad passed away this month (August 2019). He is missed. On Father’s Day in 2014, I woke up with the beginnings of this poem in my thoughts and proceeded to write Scarred Hands before I ever made it out of bed.
